How it works
No setup beyond a URL. No browser extensions, no manual checking. 100% free to use.
Paste your Airbnb listing URL
ListingSonar reads the listing's name, location and guest capacity, and creates one daily search for each guest count it sleeps.
We search like a traveler, every night
A dateless map search within about a mile of your property — the view someone gets when they browse the map near you — run for 1, 2, 3, 4 guests and up.
Watch the trend, get the recap
Your dashboard shows each day's position with page-one bands and how many competitors were in the search. Every Monday the week's summary lands in your inbox.
Log a change, see if it worked
Swapped the cover photo? Rewrote the title? Note the day you did it and the chart marks it. The days that follow show whether the change actually moved your position — or whether it was just Airbnb's noise.
What you get
The numbers that decide whether travelers ever see your listing.
Position for every guest count
A couple searching for 2 and a family searching for 6 see different results. You get a separate daily line for each.
Page-one bands
The chart shades pages 1, 2 and 3 so you can tell at a glance when a listing slips off the first page — and when a change brings it back.
Competitor count
How many listings were in each search, so a drop in rank is easy to read as "more competition" or "we lost ground".
Daily history, kept
One recorded position per day per guest count, going back as long as you track. Zoom to 14 days or a full year.
Monday recap by email
Where each property ranked, how it moved during the week, and what changed in the market — no need to log in to stay informed.
Built for managers too
Track several properties under one account and have a property's weekly recap delivered straight to the owner's email.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the things hosts ask first.
What does ListingSonar track?
Where your Airbnb listing appears in Airbnb search results. Every night we run a map search around your property for each guest count your place sleeps and record the position your listing landed in.
Why does my ranking change from day to day?
Airbnb rotates and personalizes results, so a single day can jump around. ListingSonar records one position per day and shows the trend over weeks, which is what actually tells you whether you're gaining or losing visibility. The search we perform is not from a logged-in user. Searches are further personalized if a user is logged in, on a mobile device, or considered a good guest.
Is it really free to use?
Yes. We built ListingSonar for the community and anyone can use it for free. We do have sponsors, so your weekly email may come with a small advertisement.
What search does ListingSonar use?
A dateless map search within roughly one mile of your property — the view a traveler gets when they browse the map near your listing — run separately for 1, 2, 3, 4 and more guests up to your listing's capacity.
How do I add a listing?
Paste the Airbnb listing URL. ListingSonar reads the listing's name, location and guest capacity and sets up the daily searches automatically. We run the first search straight away and email you where it placed, usually within a couple of minutes.
Do I need a password?
No. ListingSonar uses Google sign-in only; signing in for the first time creates your account.
Can a property manager track listings for clients?
Yes. Managers can track several properties under one account, and the weekly recap for any property can be delivered to the client's email address instead.
